In my near future (aka today), I shall. . .
go for a long run. I’m aiming for at least ten miles, plus a little walking afterwards. I’m hitting the road as soon as I press publish! I’ve got two episodes of L.A. Complex to keep my company on the treadmill! I kind of love this show– it’s like what the Ashley Simpson re-make of Melrose Place should have been!
attend some noon-time nuptials. Two of our friends are getting hitched just a few streets over from our house in a nearby park, and we can’t wait to head over there in a little bit to be a part of their special day!
do some school work for my job. I need to iron out some of the things I will doing with my computer class this week (keeping in mind I have never taught computers before this school year!). That means an hour or so of fiddling around with Excel and making sure I can do the exercises I am going to assign my students to complete!
do some school work for school. I am currently in the process of reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf, and also studying for a test on Hemingway short stories and rubaiyat poetry. I need to devote at least two hours total to these literary endeavors today! Wish The Great Gatsby movie with Leo was out already, but I ‘m unfortunately going to have to wait until next summer for that one.
head over to First Works Providence, an art festival in downtown Providence we were invited to by some other close friends! I haven’t done any research on the event itself, so I couldn’t even tell you the kinds of awesomeness I might come across tonight.
feast on Ethiopian food. . . again! Our friends suggested Ethiopian for dinner after the art festival, and let’s just say they didn’t have to ask twice. Though I had it just a few weeks ago, I am so excited to have a chance to have it again so soon!
devour a nasty, sugary dessert, complete with a vegan, gluten-free treat from Wildflour Vegan Bakery, almond milk ice cream, dark chocolate chips and whatever other toppings for my homemade sundae I can scrounge up!
faceplant into bed after a long, full, and hopefully amazing day!
What’s on tap for you today? Have a great one!
