Stress-Free Saturday
Happy Saturday friends! Today is going to be a great one for me– not only is it the start of a three-day weekend, but it is the first Saturday since June that I haven’t had a single ounce of school or “work” work to do! In fact, this weekend my school bag is staying in the car– I have absolutely nothing work/school related to do for three days and I am going to revel in that fact wholeheartedly this weekend!
First thing on the agenda is a long-ish run. Then, this afternoon, I have a make-up lesson scheduled at a fantastic, local salon called Alayne White. It’s part of my New Year’s goals to have more fun with makeup, so I thought working for an hour with a pro would be a great start! I am so excited to figure out what works best for me, especially since I basically wear no makeup on a day-to-day basis.

After my lesson, my husband and I are heading up to Boston for no other reason than to have fun! We are staying the night too, and plan on shopping and eating our hearts out. The last two or three weekend getaways or vacations I went on were working vacations, where I either had work to do for my classes or for my job, so I am beyond stoked that I will be totally free mentally, with no pressure whatsoever to get up early to squeeze in some work before my husband wakes up (which is what I did during my last few weekend getaways). In other words, for the first time in what seems like forever, I will be totally relaxed!
Dinner tonight is going to fabulous too– I will report back on it later this week, but I’ll leave you some hints as to where we’re going. It’s an upscale chain that is new in Boston but has locations around the country, and at first glance, seems like a vegetarian or vegan’s nightmare. However, this place has the most epic salad bar, so I will be in heaven– and so will my husband because they also serve what is essentially all-you-can-eat meat on a stick. Any guesses friends?

Where I will be stuffing my face tonight!

Well, I hope you have a fantastic Saturday and lovely weekend. Wish me luck on my makeup lesson– here’s to hoping I don’t make myself look like a clown!
What are you up to today? Do you know where I am going to dinner?

I love love love Alayne White! You should try their facial sometime – it’s a bit of an indulgence price-wise but so worth it once in a while for some me-time.
It sounds like you have a wonderful weekend ahead of you – have lots of fun!:)
Hi Deshika! How are you?? I also love Alayne White– I definitely will try their facial sometime! The only other service I have had there was a massage which was awesome but also expensive! Hope you are doing well!!
