What’s New This Week. . .
First up, a new nail polish color purchased from Ulta. . . I have never done a super glittery polish like this one!
This particular shade is called “Pink Yet Lavender,” and it comes from Mariah Carey’s collection for OPI. It’s so cute and (with both pink and lavender glitter)and I especially love it because it’s pretty much goof-proof in terms of applying it. The glitter hides any inconsistencies or mess-ups!
Remember this new Tj’s product– ground ghost chilies?
Well I finally got a chance to try it in my tofu scramble I made for the week. Just a whif of the peppers had me coughing, so I used it very sparingly. I have a pretty high heat tolerance, and since I didn’t use much (just a pinch) I didn’t really detect any extreme spiciness. Next time, I gotta add more!
I am on a mission to try some new foods. I have eaten hemp seeds before, but never on a regular basis. I found this packet in my fridge (I probably bought it months ago!) and decided to sprinkle hemp seeds on all my lunches this week.
A look inside the bag. . .
I packed up some quinoa salad over raw veggies for lunch Monday, and as you can see, the hemp seeds made their first appearance! I love the nutty flavor and crunch they imparted to this meal!
Finally, I tried some of these raw, vegan brownie bites from Kur Organics that I recieved in my first December Vegan Cuts box. Made of all wholesome ingredients like dates, cashews butter, cacoa powder, cinnamon, and essence of orange oil, these bite-sized brownies were definitely a win in the healthy dessert department. And when I mean bite-sized, I mean bite-sized– each brownie is a sixty calorie little nugget!
They were really good– similar to a Larabar in texture but with much less moisture.
Well that’s about all the novelty I have in my life for the week– did you try or do anything new this week?

I’ve tried a granola cereal before with hemp seeds, but not hemp seeds by themselves. They do seem like such a good topping for salads and yogurt bowls!
Hi P! I think they’re great– some people detect a strong flavor with them but I don’t at all!
