SoGladIt’sSaturday!

Man oh man, was last week the longest one ever, or it just me?  I had mentioned earlier this week that I was starting a new semester of school, and since I teach three semester classes, that meant this week, I was presented with three new groups of students.  I am happy to report that my new students seem great– I was pretty worked up all week because it’s like the first week of school all over again, but thankfully, it will likely be an easy transition for both my students and for me!

I don’t really know what’s up with me lately, but I am feeling kind of blah.

I managed to get to the gym three times this week after school, but even so, my mental state during those workouts was far from enthusiastic.  I was dragggggging, big time, and didn’t get the boost of energy that usually comes from after a workout.

I can probably chalk up my malaise to several things.  First, this was a stressful week at work, full of change and transition, which is something I am not necessarily good at handling.  Second, I have been having a lot of alone time lately, as my husband has been super busy and will continue to be pretty much right through the winter and spring.  I do love being alone and getting the chance to do my own thing, but after a while it does get kind of boring!  Lastly, I think my inflammatory issues are acting up.  I have a separate post planned for how I have been feeling physically lately, so look for that soon, but let’s just say my digestion is off, I look and feel like I am six months pregnant and my back is killing me!  These are all signs that my inflammatory conditions are making themselves be known.  I am not sure what to do about it, so I am kind of just being patient and hoping my body calms down.

Sorry to be such a downer on this lovely weekend morning, but I guess the whole point of this post is to relay to you all just how happy I am it is Saturday!  I have a few fun things planned with friends, and let’s just say some quality time with friends is exactly what I need right now.  I have a baby shower this afternoon to attend, and then later I have a night full of bowling and delicious Italian food with three of my favorite couple friends!  I definitely won’t be lonely today!

On that note, I will sign off so I can get started with my day!

Do you have any Superbowl plans?

I don’t– I hate football and already declared to the husband that I am not watching the Superbowl!  Since the Patriots aren’t in the game anyway, he’s not too interested either!

    This week was bad for my workouts as well, since I was seriously lacking the motivation and energy. Transition weeks are the worst for me!
