March Birchbox

You may think I am sick of getting beauty samples since I subscribe to three different boxes, but to tell you the truth, I am not at all! I am continually surprised and impressed with the items I receive, and this month’s Birchbox also did not disappoint. I have said it before and I will say it again, Birchbox has been my least favorite of the three boxes I get, but this month, I was pretty happy with the Birchbox contents! Let’s check it out, shall we?

The signature box. . .

The greeting revealed the box’s March Madness, sports-inspired theme.

Once I got beyond the tissue, the goods were unveiled.

The first thing that caught my eye was this bright blue tube.  I figured it was some kind of moisturizer, but lo and behold, it was a sample of Whish shave cream!  As soon as I saw this, I plopped it in my shower so I could give it a test run immediately.

I adore unique perfume samples, so I was psyched to see this Miss Me Discrete perfume in the box.

When I spotted this little tub, I didn’t know what to make of it, but it was so cute!

Turns out it is a single-use sample of a WEI purifying mud mask!  I love me a good mud mask!

I thought it was interesting I got a sample of Dermablend concealer.  I don’t use concealer and I never have.  I think it is one of those things that is really hard to match to my skin tone, so getting a sample of it was kind of strange because I wasn’t sure how they could send me a sample that did match my skin.  Admittedly, I haven’t tried it yet, so I guess I will see eventually if Birchbox was successful in sending me a concealer I could actually use.

This Madewell-inspired full-sized emery board was a nice addition.  I will definitely use this immediately.

And lastly, I was super curious to see what this little box held.

Inside, I found three samples of body lotion in fun “flavors.”  These are a hit with me– I love lotions with creative scents.

The card that explains it all. . .

Birchbox– you are really hitting your stride!  I was really pleased with all the samples for the most part– it was a nice mix of fun and unique items that I probably would never get to try otherwise!

Do you use foundation or concealer?  Do you find it can hard to find the right match?
