If there is one thing you all probably know about me is that I love a good subscription box. I currently subscribe to four different monthly subscription boxes and have been known to show off the goodies I receive each month here on the blog. So, when I was given the honor of receiving a Bestowed box to review, I jumped for joy and of course said yes. The lovely folks at Bestowed sent me their May box (last month) and I eagerly dove into the contents!
A little about Bestowed straight from their own mouths. . .
In a market as crowded, dynamic, and unregulated as health food and diet, how do you know what’s really good??
Unfortunately…you don’t. Unless you follow it closely.
Bestowed is the creation of nationally recognized nutritionist and author Heather Bauer and is the answer to all those that have ever stood in the health food section of their local grocery store and said to themselves…”which one of these is really the best??”
Each month, Heather and her team of health and diet experts carefully curate 5 product samples that have caught their attention. Items like nutrition bars, snacks, breakfast cereals, and supplements are just a few of the categories considered.
Bestowed members receive these samples in a box delivered right to their door each month.
We like to think of ourselves as match makers. Introducing the right people to brands that they will absolutely love!
The “Heather” they are referring to is celebrity nutritionist and author Heather Bauer, whom I have seen many times featured in magazines and on tv. I was super excited to see what kinds of healthy foods a nutritionist would include in their ideal snack box. When I opened the box, I was greeted by a newsletter providing the specifics of each and every item in the box, including tips for how to enjoy them, which I definitely appreciated.
I loved how the box was stuffed to the brim!
Here’s the lineup. . .
TeeChia Super Seeds Cereal (great for a gluten-free vegan, a style of eating I am trying to get back to!)
Way Better Sweet Chili tortilla chips (also great for a gluten-free vegan!)
Navitas Coconut Water Powder (perfect for the active crowd!)
Dark Chocolate Sun Cups (ideal for those who have nut allergies but still are looking for an indulgent treat!)
Larabar Uber bar (these have the best nutty texture!)
Good Eating Salads book (just when salads were beginning to bore me, inspiration struck!)
California Olive Ranch EVOO (how cute are these sample-sized packets?)
As you can see, I pretty much loved the contents of the Bestowed box. Everything in there was suitable for vegetarians like me, and I thought the variety of items, ranging from breakfast cereal to savory snacks to cooking ingredients, was pretty awesome.
The best part by far is the fact the generous folks at Bestowed have given one dashofcurry reader a chance to win a one-month subscription to Bestowed all for themselves!
To enter the Bestowed giveaway, just leave a comment telling me what your favorite healthy snacks are– easy no?
I will randomly pick a winner on Monday, July 1st. And, if you feel like getting a subscription right now, the kind Bestowed team is offering all readers 5 off their monthly or annual subscriptions when they use the code “5OFFBSTOWED01″ at checkout. With the discount, it’s only 14 bucks a month!
Good luck and thank you to the Bestowed team for letting me host such a generous giveaway!
So tell me, what are your favorite healthy snacks?
