Thank you so much for all of the sweet wishes and congratulations! I have been keeping this a secret for a long time, so it feels amazing to finally put it out there!
Now you know why my posting has been so sporadic! This summer, I wasn’t feeling my best so eating food (and therefore taking pictures and posting about it) wasn’t that fun for me. Also, exercise was pretty much thrown right out the window during my first trimester. . .
which leads me to give you a little update of where I am currently at in this whole pregnancy adventure! As of Saturday, I hit the sixteen week mark, so I am currently four months pregnant. I have passed the whole “feeling crappy” phase and overall, am feeling pretty good! Exercise is still not a big part of my life right now because my hip pain is acting up (since I can’t take my usual meds), but I am slowly trying to incorporate as much activity as my legs will allow.
As far as the blog is concerned, I was also not posting often the last few weeks because I had so much to say. . . only it was pregnancy-related. I started to feel a bit awkward about posting about my day-to-day when I was holding such a big secret, almost like I was being deceptive. We waited so long to announce it because we wanted to make sure all of our closest friends and family were told in person before it went on the blog.
In the meantime though, I had been writing all sorts of pregnancy posts, starting around week ten. I just haven’t published them yet!! So, I just want to give you a heads up that I will be publishing those posts going forward, though they will be a bit outdated. I will be posting about our journey to becoming pregnant, as well as all my weekly pregnancy updates and recaps I have written so far, most of them complete with pics. Once I get all my back-written posts up, I will continue with more timely weekly updates, plus other pregnancy-related posts as they come to me. My apologies in advance if you are not so interested in the pregnancy-related posts– they’ll be coming fast and furious for a while to make up for lost time, but then, I will make sure to incorporate more non-pregnancy posts as well.
I want to thank you all for putting up with me the last few months and sticking around for the big news! I am so looking forward to getting back into the swing of things here on the blog!
