I’ve enjoyed quite a few delicious meals out over the last few weeks but never gave them any credit on the blog! As you can see in the photos ahead, my pregnancy restaurant cravings aren’t all that different from my previous, non-prego cravings!
At Scampi (an Italian restaurant in Portsmouth), I enjoyed a caprese salad,
some lovely Italian bread with oil,
and a huge heap of sweet potato and regular fries. I thoroughly appreciate any restaurants that allow me to mix sweet and regular fries!
Just this past Saturday night, we braved the snow for a three-minute walk to Taste of India!
We started with some pappadum with various chutneys,
followed by some vegetable pakoras (fritters),
bhel poori (crispy rice mixed with various chutneys and veggies)
and papri chaat (Indian nachos with chickpeas!).
Those were just apps though, and for dinner, I savored some garlic naan
and paneer tikka masala, which is one of my favorite Indian dishes ever.
We had such a lovely, snowy walk home. . .
where I enjoyed a caramel pecan brownie and sea salted caramel almond ice cream for dessert. Amazing!
Last, a few weekends ago we hit up one of our favorite Asian restaurants, Lemongrass. I warmed up with some green tea,
and devoured a full order of my favorite appetizer ever, nime chow with peanut sauce.
I had some homestyle bean curd (and unpictured brown rice) for my main meal, and it was chock full of perfectly spiced tofu and veggies.
Looking back, I definitely can say I have been eating well lately! And let’s not forget the weekly Friday night pizza feasts that I don’t even bother to photograph anymore!
