I woke up on Christmas almost without fully realizing what day it was! Needless to say, I have been very Baby B focused lately, and hubby and I agreed we would not exchange presents for three reasons: 1) We both don’t want anything and only want things for the baby!, 2) On Christmas Eve, we went on a spending rampage buying the rest of the furniture for baby’s room plus rugs for the rest of our house, and 3) We are buying a new car, probably today! So, Christmas morning was sort of like any other and the only thing I did was prep the gifts we had purchased for our family.
However, once we headed to my mother in law’s house for Christmas lunch, the Christmas spirit hit us like a ton of bricks. We were so happy to see my mother in law and sister in law and spend time with them. And while we may have passed on the presents to each other, my husband’s family showered us (and Baby B) with gifts galore! It was such a fun time, only to be followed by a visit to my sister and her family, where we spent the rest of the night hanging out, watching Miley Cyrus paradies on YouTube (my nephew’s favorite pastime), and playing cards. All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas. We also spent a good chunk of Christmas evening discussing all of the traditions we would introduce to Baby B– next year she’ll be nine months at her first Christmas!
I didn’t snap a whole bunch of pics on Christmas, but I did take photos of my delicious Christmas lunch. . .
And here’s a snapshot of one of my husband’s gifts, which is quite appropriate!
And my mother in law gave us one of the best presents ever, which we set up in our home later that night:
We got an electric stove heater, and I am already seriously in love with it! Thanks mom and Jill!
What did you do on Christmas? What was the highlight?
