My (Past) Week In Fitness: Keep On Moving On!
Last week felt just like a continuation of the past few weeks in the exercise department! There’s been a lot of different cardio machines in the mix, running was totally out of the question still, and weightlifting made an appearance three times. It hasn’t been too difficult to motivate myself to go exercise everyday, simply because it has become a solid part of my morning routine.
Here’s how my week went!
Monday, July 8th: 85 minutes on the elliptical with handles (7.15 miles); weightlifting for arms and shoulders (7 exercises, 3 sets each)
Tuesday, July 9th: 75 minutes on the adaptive motion trainer (6.15 miles); 3.1 mile walk outside
Wednesday, July 10th: 85 minutes on the crosstrainer (7.15 miles); weightlifting for chest and back (6 exercises, 3 sets each); 3.1 mile outdoor walk
Thursday, July 11th: 90 minutes on the elliptical without handles
Friday, July 12th: 75 minutes on the elliptical with handles (6.15 miles)
Saturday, July 13th: 75 minutes on the crosstrainer (6.15 miles)
Sunday, July 14th: 75 minutes on the adaptive motion trainer (6.15 miles); weightlifting for legs (6 exercises, 3 sets each)
In case you are wondering, it is not always easy to keep myself entertained on these machines! On at least two or three days, I have some shows to watch on my Ipad, like Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, and The Fosters, all on ABC family, whose app shows full episodes the day after they air. On other days, I tune in the gym tv to Bravo or E and watch whatever shows are on then. I also read blogs on my Ipad during commercials. Finally, a good Jillian Michaels podcast can always get me through a cardio session!

It is very rare though that I don’t use any sort of distraction– spending an hour plus on a cardio machine is pretty boring, and usually music isn’t even enough to get my through!
How do you keep yourself during cardio machine seshes?
